- Operate, monitor, and improve reliability and performance.
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations.
4. Legal bases (where required)
Depending on your location, we process data based on one or more legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the app), legitimate interests (security/reliability), consent (where required), and legal obligations.
5. Third-party processors and integrations
We use service providers to operate the app. These may include providers for backend/database hosting, subscription infrastructure, and platform distribution (for example app stores). They process data only as needed to provide services to us under contractual controls.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with processors, if required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
7. Retention
We retain account and log data while your account is active and for a limited period afterward as needed for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, and dispute-handling purposes. You can request deletion via the app or the Delete Account page.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
9. International data transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards under applicable law.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and data portability. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
11. Children
GutCheck is not directed to children under the minimum digital consent age in relevant jurisdictions. If you believe a child submitted personal data, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
